Buying A Puppy

Puppies can leave here at eight weeks of age and no sooner.  We are USDA & Iowa licensed and inspected and that is the rules and to the benefit of the puppy.  Pictures and/or videos are taken every 1.5 to 2 weeks time allowing.  Pictures take a great deal of time and we want to be sure to use our time wisely in socializing the puppies giving them that great start in life.  Posted on each puppies description is their birthdate and their leave date.  Pick up is the day of eight weeks of age (Leave Date) or five days past that date excluding weekends as we are not typically open on weekends.  We do not board puppies past this point as it is not to the benefit of the puppy and we always think of the puppies best interest first and foremost.  If the five day time frame doesn't fit into your schedule due to vacations, functions, babies, or otherwise then we highly suggest waiting for the next litter. 

Reasons we do not board puppies: 

1.  Littermates have all left leaving one alone.  A single puppy gets depressed and potentially goes off food and water causing it to crash.

2.  We are not set up to board multiple puppies and simply do not have the room to do so.

3.  It is prime socialization time for the puppy and having them bound tighter to us and then switching their home suddenly can cause issues and confusion for the puppy.  

You may pick up your puppy at our home. Vistors are always welcome.   If you have an alternate ride for your puppy all paperwork must be signed in advance and puppy paid for in full before it can leave. We do not deliver puppies at this time.

We are able to ship Miniature Dachshunds, Bichon Frises, and Westies via air.  It is $800; this includes the travel crate, paperwork needed to fly, ticket, and our transport to the airport.  We will specify the day and time and get all information to you.  If the puppy is to be flying payment must be made in full a week in advance to the puppy leaving.

*We will only allow a third party transit if the puppy is the only one being transported and it is a direct drive or flight from us to you.  This is in the best interest of our babies as we want to stress them as little as possible.

Your new puppy will come with all age appropriate vaccinations & deworming as well as a record of which to bring to your vet, dewclaws removed, health check by our veterinarian, plenty of socialization with small children and other dogs, used to basic grooming for its breed, registration papers for purebreds only, either AKC/APRI dependent upon breed and puppy (Papers WILL NOT be sent with puppy until proof of spay/neuter is sent to us), 1lb bag of food to help you start or switch to a new food, a one year health guarantee (this can be viewed under the tab above labeled health guarantee), and a basic start on potty training using a dog door.  He/She will have a bath and toenail trim prior to going home with you as well.  

ALL puppies are sold on a SPAY/NEUTER contract to be signed at time of pickup.  Registration papers for PUREBREDS will not be sent with puppy and will be sent to buyer once proof of spay/neuter signed by your veterinarian is recieved by us.  There are NO Registration Papers for the Hybrid Breeds.

We require a $400 non refundable/ non transferable fee to HOLD your choice of puppy til pickup or shipping time (this comes off of the purchase price & is not extra).  We accept Paypal or cash.   

If we are shipping your new puppy the purchase price and the shipping must be paid in advance of shipping the puppy to you.  If you are picking up your puppy the remaining balance is due at time of pickup in CASH only.  

When picking up your puppy please keep in mind we have to charge IA Sales Tax on the total purchase price (7% sales tax).  

"Sale Prices"  do not pertain to previous sales of puppies. 

We welcome families to come visit the puppies by appointment only.  We ask that you be on time to be respectful of not only our time, but other families looking at scheduled times as well.  Please keep in mind that a puppy can sell at any time and there is typically more then one family looking at a specific puppy.  We do not guarantee that a specific puppy will be here for you to see when you come for your appointment.  If you have a specific puppy you are wanting to see we suggest you come immediately or place the non refundable non transferable deposit to hold your choice of puppy.
